Kevin S. Mowatt April 22, 1962 - February 26, 2023 Kevin S. Mowatt of Portland, Maine, 60, passed unexpectedly February 26, 2023. He was born April 22, 1962, in Portland, Maine to Cecil Mowatt and Mildred (Trott) Mowatt. Kevin graduated from Portland High School in 1980. Kevin was always a hard worker and had an interest in the world of auto mechanics. He started pumping gas at CN Brown at age 16. After graduation, he got a job at Kmart as a mechanic and it was there that he met the love of his life Pamela. Kevin and Pamela were married for thirty-nine happy years. Together they raised their children Joshua and Samantha. Kevin established himself in the Greater Portland community upon opening his own auto mechanic shop 'Mowatt's Automotive Service.' It was here that Kevin was fortunate enough to work alongside and have the support of his friend Paul Sprague. Kevin loved spending time with his family and friends. When he was not working at the shop he could be found four wheeling, hunting, and spending time at his camp in Stratton, Maine. Kevin loved his four grandchildren and always involved them in all his interests. Kevin leaves behind many beloved friends and family. He is survived by his wife Pamela (Philpot) Mowatt, his son Joshua Mowatt and his wife Anna, his daughter Samantha McGovern and her husband John, his four grandchildren Silas Mowatt, Piper Mowatt, Brooke McGovern, and Lauren McGovern. In addition, he is survived by his siblings Vicki Farr, Cecil "Chuck" Mowatt, and David Mowatt along with their spouses and families. The family also wants to acknowledge Kevin's friends Paul Sprague and Richard "Yukie" King. A visitation will be held Tuesday, March 7th, 2023 1pm-4pm with a service to follow at Dolby, Blais, and Segee Funeral Home, 35 Church Street, Westbrook, Maine.
