Westbrook, ME – Kevin M. Girard, 61 of Westbrook passed away Saturday August 10, 2024 at his home. Kevin was born October 20, 1962 in Portland, Maine, the son of Leo R. and Donna J. (Daggett) Girard. He graduated from Westbrook High School class of 1981, and attended SMTC in South Portland where he played baseball. Kevin was employed by H.P. Hood in Portland. While in high school, he was an all-state wrestler, and excelled in football and baseball. Kevin led a simple life. He spent many hours gardening and landscaping his property, often redoing projects several times before he got it the way he wanted. He also liked listening to music while sitting around his fire pit. In his earlier years, Kevin's dog Jed was his loyal friend. Later, Kevin and Shelley welcomed two beagles, Tucker and Otis into their family. Kevin was classy, clever and unique. His charm could put a smile on anyone's face and he made everyone feel like family. Members of his family include his longtime companion Shelley Cochrane, his parents Leo and Donna Girard, his brother Craig Girard and his wife Rhonda, a niece Jayme Brown and nephew Cory Girard. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024 from 2:00 to 5:00pm at Keeley's Banquet Center, 178 Warren Ave Portland ME.
