Windham- Kenneth Lewis Hodgdon Jr., 84, passed away in Gorham on Tuesday, March 20, 2018. The son of Kenneth and Mary (Monroe) Hodgdon, he was born in Edmunds Township on January 14, 1934. He graduated from Dennysville High School, and then went on to earn his Bachelor's degree from the University of Maine, Orono. He served his country in the United States Army and distinguished himself as a marksman. He worked at Eastern Marine Products, Mecaw Industries, and Independent Cement as Plant Manager. He was an avid fly fisherman, always looking for a good fishing spot while carrying his rod in his car. He enjoyed hunting, and all things outdoors. Kenneth was active in the Free Masons and served as the Master of the Pembroke Lodge. He was a member of the Kora Shrine in Lewiston, participating in the mini racers. He played an integral part in organizing bus transportation to the Shrine Circus in Portland. He was predeceased by his wife Bessie (Wallace) Hodgdon, and his son Jeffrey Hodgdon. He is survived by his sons David Hodgdon, and his wife Simone Lobacz, Wayne Hodgdon, and his wife Ellen, and Kenneth Hodgdon III and his wife Terry, his daughter-in-law Joan Hodgdon. Ken has 9 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. Kenneth's family wishes to thank the Gorham House for the compassionate care they gave to Kenneth during his time there, also a special thanks to the Legions of Honor, Kora Shrine Temple in Lewiston, for their friendship, companionship, honor and comradery. Family and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation on Monday, March 26, 2018 from 5-7 PM at the Windham Chapel of Dolby, Blais & Segee, 434 River Rd. Military honors will be rendered at 7:00 PM.
