Buxton Keith "Spider" Bangs, 80, died December 16, 2017. He was born April 17, 1937 in Buxton a son of Guy and Cora (Emery) Bangs. Keith grew up in Buxton and was a 1955 graduate of Gorham High School. He had a passion for music and played in a variety of blue grass bands. In addition to the guitar he also played the dobro, mandolin, and banjo. Keith was also a talented machinist and enjoyed careers with Nelson & Small, Portland Transmission, Reynolds Sports Center, and R. J. Grondin & Sons where he retired in 2002. He also had his own shop specializing in boring engine cylinders. Keith loved nature and photographing animals, especially on his annual 4th of July trip to Jackman. In addition to his parents Keith was predeceased by his brothers, Mahlon and Floyd Bangs. He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years Joyce (Greenlaw) Bangs, daughter, Belinda Rasmussen of Youngsville, NY; granddaughters, Heather and Erika, several nieces and nephews, and best friend, Brian St. Pierre.
