Judy J. Bennett, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on March 27, 2024 at the age of 71. She was surrounded by her loving family during her final moments Judy was a dedicated member of the Eagles Auxiliary, serving as the State Madam President from 2019 to 2021. She spent countless hours attending local, state, regional, and international Eagles events, tirelessly working to support the organization's charitable efforts. In addition to her involvement with the Eagles, Judy was an active member of the Westbrook Congregational Church Ladies Group, where she found great joy in fellowship and community service. She also served on the voting Polls Committee, using her expertise to ensure the integrity of the electoral process. Judy's passion for learning led her to become a lecturer at Milestone, where she shared her knowledge and insights with students. Judy's love for her family was unparalleled. She cherished the time she spent with her husband, Jerry, when he was driving a tractor-trailer or playing in a band. She took immense pride in her daughter's accomplishments as a champion horse show rider, and she delighted in sharing stories about her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Judy's unwavering dedication to her family, her community, and her charitable work will be deeply missed. Her legacy of kindness, generosity, and unwavering spirit will continue to inspire all who knew her. Judy is survived by her devoted husband of 54 years, Jerald J. Bennett Jr; daughter, Elizabeth Bennett, and her husband, David Dicent, whom she considered a son; grandchildren, Sarenna Bennett and her husband Joshua Fitzsimmons, Deanna Bennett, Anthony Bennett, and Cali Bennett, Ashanti Divent; and her great-grandchildren, Julian Fitzsimmons and Carter Fitzsimmons. Judy was predeceased by her parents, John Batchelor and Mae Batchelor, and her siblings, Bobby Batchelor. Details of a memorial service will be announced shortly.
