SOUTH WINDHAM - Judith Daphne "Judy" Campbell,74, passed away peacefully on Wednesday October 6, 2021, at her home in South Windham surrounded by family. Born August 7,1947 in Westbrook, daughter of Orrin and Adelaide Moore. Judy studied at Potter Academy in Sebago and later received her degree in accounting. She held various job positions throughout her life, mostly factory work. Anyone who knew her recognized her strong work ethic. She spent many years as a stitcher at Eastland Shoe in Freeport. She also worked at Nichols Portland where she met her partner, Wayne. It was the simple things in life Judy enjoyed the most, such as sitting on her deck at camp, kayaking, watching the birds or any time spent with family. She loved to travel, whether it was between her homes in Maine and Florida or lengthy road trips across the country - her most recent being a trip out west with Wayne, her sister Carol and brother-in-law, Alan. Another one of Judy's pleasures in life was crafting and painting. She enjoyed making beautiful quilts, all of which she gave to family members. Whether you knew her for her hand crafted gifts, amazing smile, big hugs, or just a helping hand, one thing is for sure: your life is better having known her. In addition to her parents, Judith was predeceased by her husband, Calvin Campbell; and her sister, Rita Moore. Surviving, in addition to her partner, Wayne Burtt of South Windham are her children, Mark Cressey and wife, Lori of Porter, Dale Cressey and partner, Margaret of East Baldwin, Linda Cressey of South Windham, and Brenda Hewey and husband, Wesley of Gray; 7 grandchildren, Tamera Cressey, Devin Mills, Shyanne Moody, Amanda Mudgett, Shawn Cressey, Paul Hewey, and Brooke Hewey; 10 great-grandchildren, Kiara, Ethan, Maverick, Gracelyn, Adalynn, Olivia, Bailey, Lilyanna, Journee & Bryleigh; brothers, Bruce Moore and wife, Barbara of Tennessee, Jerry Moore of Virginia, and Brian Moore of California; sister, Carol Mitchell and husband, Alan of Brunswick; and several nieces and nephews Judy will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
