Joyce Florence Varney, 76, passed away peacefully at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House on February 5, 2021. Joyce was born in Saco on July 19,1944, daughter of William & Gloria (Huff) Webber. She attended schools in Hollis. After school, Joyce worked many years at The Hanold Co. She then spent 25 years at Data General where she met her husband, Richard Varney Jr. Joyce and Rick went to The Blue Onion in Freeport for their first date which led to their joy of trying new restaurants and random car rides. They were married on 2/14/98. Joyce enjoyed candlepin bowling, sewing, and volunteering. She was a longtime volunteer at Riverton School. Joyce's favorite pastime was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Whether it was a birthday, wedding, graduation, Sunday dinner or just a random day, she was there loving every minute. In addition to her parents, Joyce is predeceased by her sister, Gail Mulligan and brother Terry Webber Sr. Joyce is survived by her husband of 22 years; son Jeffrey Dyer & wife Krystal of Hollis; son Mark Dyer of Westbrook; son Anthony Dyer of Portland; Daughter Jill James & husband Paul of Windham; and son Paul Dyer of Westbrook. Her siblings; William Webber Jr. of Gorham, Nancy Conway and husband Jim of Hollis and many nieces and nephews. Joyce was a proud Gram of 7; Maghan Dyer of Massachusetts; Amanda Gagne & husband Marc Gagne Jr. of New Hampshire; Kent Dyer of Portland; Nicole Warner & husband Jeffrey Warner II of Windham; Lindsay Dyer of Massachusetts; Adam James of Westbrook; Ashley Dyer of Standish. Joyce's greatest loves were her great grandchildren: Caleb and Elliana Warner and Connor and Cameron Gagne. A private family service will be held at 11am on Saturday, 2/13/21 with public visiting hours following from 12-2pm at The Windham Chapel of Dolby, Blais & Segee, 434 River Road, Windham.
