Machias Joshua Foss, 40 died unexpectedly on October 5, 2021 at a Bangor hospital. He was born on March 26, 1981 in Machias, ME, the son of William and Susan Foss. Josh graduated from Washington Academy, class of 1999. Following graduation, he attended NESCOM and Husson College. After graduation, he eventually settled in Machias where he met the love of his life of 13 years, Donna Roberts. Those that knew Josh, loved him. He was a gentle giant that gave the biggest hugs, always knew exactly what to say, and had the best laugh. He was predeceased by his maternal and paternal grandparents. Surviving in addition to Donna, is her son Robert White of Machias and daughter Amanda White of Melbourne Florida, who Josh loved just like he would his own children, his loving father William Foss of Machias and doting mother Susan Foss of Machiasport, sister Meagan Foss and partner Ed of Old Town, Aunt Betty of Hampden, Aunt Linda of Center Conway, NH, Aunt Sherry and Uncle John of Knoxville, TN, Billy Bricker, with whom he had a brotherly bond with and partner Andrea of Veazie, and many dear cousins. Josh also was very close to Donna's family, with whom he shared a special bond. There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
