Joseph H. Perreault, of Dennett St., Portland, passed away Wednesday, January 09, 2013, at the Mercy Hospital. He was born in Biddeford, the son of Wilfred and Armeline (Duquette) Perreault. Joseph served in the U.S. Army as a Paratrooper and was a Purple Heart recipient. He owned and operated Nason's Corner Mobil for 25 years before retiring. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, and the American Legion. Joseph loved to play golf and was a member of Gorham Country Club for many years, and most recently enjoyed playing at Riverside South Golf Course. He enjoyed gardening, puzzles, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Through the years he enjoyed many activities such as camping and skiing with family. He was predeceased by brothers Robert, Marcel, Richard, Rene, and Adrien. He is survived by his wife Claudette (Caron) Perreault of Portland; his sons Michael and wife Shelly of Charlotte, NC, David of Gorham, Patrick and wife Debbie of So. Portland, and Joseph Jr. of Portland; a daughter Cathy Chappell and husband Jeff of Poland Springs; grandchildren Amy, Chris, David Jr., Matthew, Jennifer, Gregory, Jessica, and Joseph III; and great grandchildren Daisy, Maya, Ben, Drew, Grace, Paige, Lila Rose, and Zeta. Visiting hours will be from 7 to 9 PM Friday at Blais & Hay Funeral Home, 35 Church St., Westbrook. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Portland. Spring burial will be in St. Hyacinth Cemetery, Westbrook.
