Obituary

Jonathan L. Cucco, of Standish, passed away on December 10th, 2021 after a nearly three year courageous battle with cancer, though he was ultimately taken by COVID while in the loving care of Maine Medical Center. He was born on February 5, 1972 in Portland into the loving home of Luigi and Lois Cucco. Jon was a kind, gentle and humble man who deeply loved the people in his life. He was a people person and nobody was a stranger to him. Though he had health struggles in his life he was ever optimistic and you never heard him complaining. He liked to stay busy around the house, taking great pride in taking care of his yard and home. He loved playing pool, cooking, singing karaoke, camping and spending time with his wife of thirteen years, Kimberley, and their beloved dogs. Many nights were spent outside on their porch swing by the fire with Kimberley and their dogs by his side gazing at the stars, laughing, having deep conversations with each other, or simply being together and enjoying each other's company. He was a devoted, loving husband and friend. Jon leaves behind his wife, Kimberley, their dogs Gizmo and Spencer, his siblings and his sister in law, Michelle Dunton. He is predeceased by his parents. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, December 20, 2021 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Dolby, Blais & Segee Funeral Home 434 River Rd., Windham, with a service starting at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, Jon's family encourages you to consider a donation in his name to help others just as he was helped so generously during his time of need to either the Maine Cancer Foundation at www.mainecancer.org/donate-now or the Epilepsy Foundation at www.epilepsy.com.
