Westbrook- John Allison Day, 77, passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2017 in Portland. The son of Darrell and Angie (Young) Day, he was born in Portland on January 23, 1941. He grew up in Portland and Damariscotta. He served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a long time member of AA, and was proud of his 35 + years of sobriety. He enjoyed spending time at the Walker Memorial Library in Westbrook. John was predeceased by his daughter Susan Day He is survived by his wife, of 10 years, Colette Day, of Westbrook, his daughters Cindy Bailey and her husband Craig of Raymond, and Doreen Day of Steep Falls, as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Mike Day, and his sister Mary LeClair. Family and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation on Friday, March 16, 2018 from 5-8 PM at the Westbrook Chapel of Dolby, Blais & Segee, 35 Church St. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 10:00 AM.
