Westbrook John W. Bryant, 70, died Thursday May 10, 2018 at Maine Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 18, 1947, in Gorham, a son of Herbert and Florence (Curry) Bryant. John grew up in Portland and was a 1965 graduate of Portland High School. Following school John served his country in the US Air Force and enjoyed a long career with Sprague Energy as a terminal supervisor. John was a passionate member of several civic organizations including a lifetime member and Fellowship Degree holder of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1310. He dedicated 47 years of service to his fraternity and passionately believed in everything the Moose stands for. V.F.W. Post 832 of South Portland, AMVETS Charles J. Loring Post #25 of Portland, and American Legion Post #76 of Scarborough. John will be remembered as a family orientated man who could lighten the mood in any room with his colorful humor. In addition to his parents John was predeceased by his son John H. Bryant. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years Donna (Young) Bryant; children, Jamie Bryant of Westbrook, Dawn Marie Bryant of Scarborough, Michael Bryant of Westbrook, Nicholas Bryant of Westbrook, and Jane Michelle Bryant Amante of the Philippines; grandchildren, Jaden, Bella, and Bryce. He also leaves behind his faith companion, his dog Odin. Visiting Hours will be held Wednesday May 16, from 2:00PM – 4:00PM and 6:00PM – 8:00PM at the Westbrook Chapel of Dolby, Blais & Segee 35 Church Street, Westbrook, where a funeral service will be held Thursday May 17, at 11:00AM.
