WINDHAM – Joanne Page Fortier, 85, passed away at her home on August 2, 2016. She was born in Portland, June 16, 1931, the daughter of Lawrence L. and Laura (Brackett) Page. Joanne attended local schools, graduating from Kennebunk High School and earned a two-year college degree from what was then, Westbrook Junior College. A natural care-giver, Joanne loved caring for everyone. She also enjoyed camping and gardening, and in her retirement raising gladiolus and selling Christmas trees on the family Christmas tree farm. Her husband of 52 years, John C. Fortier, died on March 12, 2005. She is survived by her children, Sally Roig and her husband Jeff, of Somers CT, Tom Fortier and wife Patti, Doug Fortier, Beth Sanford and husband Jim, and Susan Fortier all of Windham; her sister, Janet Raeburn and husband, Bruce of Windham; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A private service will be held at a later date.
