Joan H. Grant Greeley Labbe, 79, of Conant St. Westbrook, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2012 at a Portland hospital. She was brought up and raised in Gorham's Corner in Portland, the daughter of Andrew and Helen (Geary) Grant. Joan graduated from the Cathedral High School with honors. She and her husband Gerard owned and operated French Town Variety and Andy's Tavern in Westbrook. They also enjoyed traveling together. She was predeceased by her husband Gerard Labbe, a grandson Joshua, nephews Brian and David. She is survived by a daughter Barbara and husband Robert Fitzgerald of Westbrook; sons John and wife Jean Greeley of Portland, Andrew Greeley of Old Orchard, and Jeff Labbe of Windham; brothers James and wife Pearl Ann Grant of Fort Myers, FL, and William and wife Jean Grant of Marco Island, FL; a sister Patricia and husband Donald Leclerc of Westbrook; grandchildren John, Matt, Melissa, Derek, Andrew, and Danielle; six great grandchildren; and her best buddy Joanne Roy of Westbrook. A memorial mass will be celebrated at 10 AM Wednesday at St. Anthony's Church in Westbrook. Interment will be in St. Hyacinth Cemetery.
