WINDHAM- Joan Louise (Burnham) Bowden, 82, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family November 26, 2018. She was born March 17, 1936 in Portland to Henry W. and Martha (Cram) Burnham. She was a longtime resident of Windham. Her children will remember her passionate devotion and loyalty to her loved ones. Joan enjoyed cooking for family and friends and enjoyed the taste of a good martini. She was stubborn, but generous and fun, hardworking woman who truly appreciated the importance of family. Joan will be remembered best by her fun loving nature; she was always prepared to prank someone. She will be greatly missed by those close to her. Joan is predeceased by one son, Brian Bowden. She is survived by her four children; Barbara Graves and fiancé Brian Williams, of Windham, Steven Bowden, of Davenport, FL, Michael Bowden and Wife Nancy, of Windham, and Pamela Viles and husband Kenton, of Madison. Grandchildren; Tyler and Lindsay, Tracy and Matt, Jessica, Amanda, John and Megan, Shira and Tom, Shannon and Todd, Joshua, and Joseph. Twelve great-grandchildren; Chase, Brandon, Amelia, Matthew, Jeremy, T.J., Cole, Ayden, Beckett, Bentley, Aubrey, and Caidence. Per Joan's request, there will be no public services. A private family gathering will take place in Summer 2019. Those who wish to remember Joan in a special way, please consider making a donation in her name to your favorite charity.
