Jennifer Lorraine (Jeni) Durrell of Westbrook, 49, died unexpectedly January 19, 2024 at home. She was born January 29, 1974, in Mt. Home, Idaho to parents Victoria Durrell of Westbrook and Lawrence Durrell of Georgetown. Jeni graduated from Wiscasset High School, class of 1992. She spent her working life caring for people, first as a Direct Support Professional for people with developmental disabilities and then as a CNA caring for the elderly. Jeni is survived by her daughter Nia Durrell-Kostopoulos of Westbrook; her brother Matthew Durrell of Bath; her step-children Jessica Kostopoulos, Peter Kostopoulos, Anthony Kostopoulos, Anna Kostopoulos, and Thomas Kostopoulos; her aunts Denise Gordon of Bristol Mills, Michele Valliere of Boothbay Harbor, Sharon Douglass of Bath, Karen Rooney of Winslow; uncles Kirk Douglass of North Bath and Jerry Douglass of Brunswick as well as several cousins. A celebration of life for Jeni will be on February 25th from 1 - 4 pm at The Roosevelt Room of Maine, 965 Roosevelt Trail, Windham ME 04062.
