Scarborough – Jeffrey Glenn Bailey, 54, died on June 10, 2016 at his home. He was born in Portland, on March 2, 1962, the son of Linwood and Leona (Meserve) Bailey. Jeffrey grew up and still lived in the ancestral home, The Farm, which was established in the 1700's. He cared for many animals over the years, but was especially fond of his chickens and his pig, "Unc". Jeffrey loved his family. He enjoyed spending time with them hunting and fishing, and would often carry his handicapped sister, Linda, down to Nonesuch River to join him while fishing. Jeff was in the Maine Bow Hunters Association for many years, having won the Maine State Championship four years in a row with no sight on his bow. Having no children of his own, he took great pride in his nieces and nephews, especially his niece Emily, who he lovingly referred to as "Em". Jeffrey was a caring individual, who would do just about anything for anyone who was in need of help. He is survived by his brothers, Philip and wife Pauline of Rangeley, Larry of Jamestown, NY, Gary of Buxton, Craig and wife Denise of Waterboro, and Michael of Scarborough; sisters, Dianne Stuart and husband Wyatt of Gorham, Debra Clark and husband Ronald of Waterboro, and Georgia Unknown; and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to give a special thanks to Jeffrey's dear friends, Dale Waterman and Linwood Willette, for being there for their brother. A funeral service will be held at 10am on June 17, 2016 at the Dolby Funeral Chapel, 76 State Street, Gorham. A period of visitation will be from 9am until the start of the service. Burial will follow to Black Point Cemetery, Black Point Rd., Scarborough.
