Dateline- Casco Jeannine S. Pelletier, 89, of Casco, passed away on October 24, 2022 at Country Village Assisted Living with her family by her side. She was born on January 9, 1933, a daughter of the late Arthur and Laurette (Chayer) Smith. Jeannine worked for Edwards and Walker in Portland, as well as Sebago Moc in Westbrook for many years. She was an avid knitter, even creating her own patterns. She enjoyed playing bingo, doing word and jigsaw puzzles, and playing cards with her sisters. She loved to dance and played Mitch Miller records while cooking Sunday dinners. She always made all the family birthday cakes from scratch. The most important part of Jeannine's life was spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She attended dance recitals, basketball and baseball games, school plays and any event she was able to. Her face would light up anytime a family member came to visit. She is survived by her sons; Mike Ward (Jerilyn) of Raymond and Bruce Ward of Scarborough, daughter Virginia Nadeau and her partner Doug Fortier of Windham, step-sons Gary Pelletier and wife Karen of FL, Bruce Pelletier and his wife Janice and Allen Pelletier and his wife Pam, both of Raymond, sisters; Muriel Belanger, Helen Martin, Lorraine Belanger and Claire Cameron 15 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Pelletier, brother Donald Smith, and sister Patricia Bullerwell. There will be a mass at Our Lady of Perpetual Help on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at 10:00 AM. Internment will follow at the VA Cemetery in Augusta at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Country Village Assisted Living in Casco, ME.
