On June 29, 2025, Jeannine C. Lister, after a battle with cancer, left her earthly home and joined her Heavenly Father. Jeannine was the daughter of Henry Arseneault and Pauline (Dubois) Arseneault, and grew up in Sanford with her older sister Connie, and two younger brothers Danny and Peter. Jeannine attended Sanford High School where she was a member of the National Honor Society and served as her class Treasurer. In her sophomore year she met her future husband Robert E. Lister. Jeannine and Robert were married on July 6, 1965, and moved to Westbrook where Jeannine raised their four children, Carolyn Sprague, Robert Lister Jr., Susan Johnson and John Lister. Jeannine later attended college earning an associate's degree and working in the Westbrook and Sacopee Valley school systems as an Ed Tech. Jeannine was active in her church serving on church boards, teaching Sunday School and organizing a young mother's group. Jeannine was also involved in Child Evangelism, hosting meetings for many years as well as sponsoring children in foreign countries through Children International. Jeannine enjoyed writing poems and children's stories, as well as bird watching and beekeeping with Robert. Jeannine was very devout in her faith, reading her Bible daily, and putting God first. Jeannine cared deeply for her family and was always willing to help in any way. Jeannine looked for the good in everyone. Jeannine is survived by her husband of 60 years, 1 sister, 2 brothers, 4 children, and 6 grandchildren. All those that knew her will miss her and know she left the world a better place through her kindness. Visiting hours will be held 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. followed by a funeral service on Friday, July 11th at the Grace Bible Church, 74 Deering Road, Gorham, ME. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Grace Bible Church of Gorham, Maine.
