Windham Jeanne D. (Newman) Grass, 89, of Windham, passed away unexpectedly on March 26, 2018 at Maine Medical Center, Portland, surrounded by her 10 Children. She was born in Littleton, Maine on August 28, 1928, the daughter of Lloyd F. and Hazel S. Newman. For the last five years of her life she lived with her daughter, Jeannette and her husband the late Kevin Curry in Windham. On November 6, 1949, she married the love of her life, Wayne Edmond Grass in Woodstock, NB. They first met picking potatoes in the potatoes fields of Aroostook County. She was a homemaker for many years raising her 10 children. She sold Avon and Mary Kay for over 20 years. She was also a daycare provider, working with three of her daughters. She loved listening to Daniel O'Donnell and cheering on the Red Sox. In her later years she enjoyed coloring in adult coloring books, sharing them with her children and grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, parents, and sister. Jeanne is survived by her 10 children; Shelley Cullens (Louis) of Windham, Michael Grass (Julia) of Mattawamkeag, David Grass (Marjorie) of Limington, Rhonda Small (Brian) of Raymond, Lorrie Small (Michael) of Raymond, Bradley Grass (Cheryl) of Windham, Kevin Grass (Betsy) of Gorham, Lloyd Grass (Donna) of Windham, Keith Grass (Dawn) of Raymond and Jeannette Curry of Windham; 19 grandchildren, and 25 great grandchildren. Jeanne's family would like to thank all the staff at Casco Bay Dialysis for their excellent care and attention given to her during the past 7 years. Visiting hours will be held from 4:00PM – 6:00PM Friday March 30, at the Windham Chapel of Dolby, Blais & Segee, 434 River Road, Windham. A private burial will be held at the Raymond Village Cemetery, Raymond. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a Kidney Foundation of one's choice.
