Jeanne (Rita) Afthim McKenney, 78, of Westbrook passed away on August 9, 2016.  She was born in Westbrook, the daughter of the late William and Marguerite (Pineau) Afthim, and was one of 13 children.  She worked at S. D.Warren for over 30 years.  She enjoyed walking and was a big sports fan and faithfully watched all games to cheer our Boston teams on.  She was a resident of Rocky Hill Manor in Westbrook for over 9 years. Besides being pre-deceased by her parents, and her late husband, Lester McKenney of Kennebunkport, she also was pre-deceased by her siblings Gloria Afthim, Rudy Afthim, Donald Afthim and Billy Afthim. Jeanne also leaves behind several siblings including her twin sister, Joan Jackson of Westbrook; Constance 'Connie' (Afthim) Dwyer of Uxbridge, Massachusetts, with whom she lived for awhile; Lorraine Afthim of Westbrook, Elaine (Afthim) LaBrie of Bangor, Marie (Afthim) Joyce of Portsmouth, NH; brothers Arthur Afthim and Philip Afthim of Westbrook and Michael Afthim of So. Portland, along with two cousins and many nieces and nephews.
