Janice Kinghorn Rogers September 4, 1935 - September 20, 2024 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Janice Kinghorn Rogers, who peacefully and pain-free passed away at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough, Maine, on September 20, 2024. Mom was born in Portland, Maine, the daughter of Ralph and Adelaide (Schellinger) Kinghorn, graduating from Deering High School in 1953. She married the love of her life, Keith Lyndon Rogers, in 1954, making their home and raising their children in Windham, Maine, spending the summers at the family camp on Forest Lake in Gray, Maine. Throughout her career, Mom worked for the Windham School District - Lunch Program, Hairaphanalia, finally retiring from Evergreen Credit Union in 1996. Following retirement, Mom and Dad loved wintering in Florida. Mom lived a fulfilling life. She was an avid quilter, loved snowmobiling with family and friends, loved camping and traveling the United States and Canada, visiting almost all 50 states and 10 providences, but family gatherings were most dear to her heart. She was a very social person, spearheading the "Porch Ladies" group that meet regularly at her home in Gorham. She is survived by her daughter, Vickie-Lynn Saulsbury and husband, Ken, of The Villages, Florida, and her son, Daniel K. Rogers and his wife, Sue, of Portage Lake, Maine. Grandchildren: DeeJay McPhail (Meggan), Andrew McDonnell (Claire), Garrett McDonnell (Lauren), Bryanna Rogers and her daughter, Aela. Great grandchildren: Samantha McPhail, Easton Keith McDonnnell, Sawyer Lewis McDonell, and Bentley Kyle McDonnell. 3 bonus grandchildren Allyx Beaulier, Jarrett Beaulier and Krista Saulsbury. Brother-in-laws: Raymond Rogers, and Dana Rogers (Jeanne) and numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, husband, and grandson, Kyle Daniel Rogers. A private grave-side service will be held for family members.
