Westbrook James "Jimmy" H. Buzzell, 67, passed peacefully from a brief illness at his home with his wife by his side. He was born December 1, 1953, in Sanford, a son of Eleanor (Tarbox) and Ralph J. Stanley. Jimmy grew up in Portland and attended local schools. Following school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army serving in Germany. He married the love of his life Carol Pinkerton on October 7, 2007. Jimmy "Broski" was a devoted brother and caregiver to his brother Donald for over 24 years. He was also a dedicated husband, son, friend, and neighbor. Jimmy was always eager to help anyone in need with a ride to work, the grocery store, appointments, and anything else they needed. His sense of humor always brightened anyone's day. He loved hunting and fishing in Mousam Lake as a young man and cherished his dogs Cooper and Chilly. In addition to his father Jimmy was predeceased by his brother William Stanley, and his sister Kathy Leary. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife of 14 years Carol (Pinkerton) Buzzell; step – son, Christopher Pinkerton; siblings, Judy Weeks, Clyde Stanley and his wife Martha, Donna Ricci and her husband Bob, Joyce Duval and her husband Jerome, David Stanley and his wife June, and Donald Stanley, 8 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday October 13, at Woodlawn Cemetery, Westbrook.
