Westbrook- James J. Flynn, 73, passed away in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family on Saturday, February 2, 2019. The son of Peter and Anastasia (O'Brien) Flynn, he was born in Greenwich Connecticut on July 6, 1945. Jim was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to everyone. Jim loved sports, especially baseball and football, and his favorite teams were the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox. He worked in the construction field as a project manager for over 30 years. He spent his free time watching sports on TV, visiting his children and grandchildren and continued helping everyone he could with various carpentry projects throughout his retirement. Jim was always there to help relatives and friends with household projects or whatever else people needed him for. He was predeceased by his brothers Patrick and Peter Flynn and his sister Aileen Ballentine. He is survived by his wife Glynda Flynn of Gilead ME, his sons, David Flynn of Rochester N.H, Patrick Howard, and his wife Donna of Gilead ME, and Donald Pelkey, and his wife Shelley of Hollis ME, his daughters Kathy McPherson, and her husband David of Standish ME, and Stacy Cambridge, and her husband Jay of Windham ME, his twelve grandchildren, Mark, Joe, Chrissy, Brandy, Skylar, Corey, Becca, Zane, Pat, Caleb, Shamie, and Dawnie, and his great grandchildren, Madison, Dan, Matt, Kate, and Easton. He is also survived by his sisters Audrey Fitts, and her husband John of Stamford Connecticut, Evelyn Leonard and her husband Stanley of Stamford Connecticut, and Ann Cyr of Stamford Connecticut. A special thank you to all the people of Hospice of Southern Maine for their loving care and support during his final days. His family would also like to extend their sincere gratitude towards Dolby, Blais and Segee Funeral Home for their compassion and guidance during this difficult time. Interment will take place at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of the Windham Chapel of Dolby, Blais & Segee.
