Obituary

Jacqueline (Arsenault) Verrill, 75 of Limington, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 20, 1947 the second oldest of 6 children to Joseph and Lorraine (St. Cyr) Arsenault. She grew up in Westbrook and attended St. Mary's Parish school and attended Westbrook High School. As a member of both the Arsenault and St. Cyr families she grew up with many family gatherings filled with love, laughter, and music that filled your soul. Jackie shared many memories of her time with her family growing up and always had music in her heart and loved to dance. She had a strong work ethic and spent many years at Portland Glass, Weyerhauser Paper Company, and lastly Kids R' Us. She loved traveling to visit her sister and best friend Alice in California over the years, taking in the sights, and spending time in her home. She enjoyed spending time with her sisters here in Maine as well which was aptly named 'Sister's Day' where shopping, lunch, gossiping and lots of laughter were part of their whole day. Her brother David was also special to her and was always invited to her Thanksgiving feast each year. She loved holidays and decorated her home for each one with her most favorite of all being Christmas. She was known for starting her decorating just after Halloween as the years progressed. She enjoyed making ornaments for her grandchildren which they love and cherish. Jackie married her loving husband Arthur on July 3, 1995. Before and after that special day their love has seen over 40 years together here on earth and will transcend beyond time. They spent time taking care of each other, enjoying motorcycle rides, gathering with friends and family, and sharing in their faith and love of God. If you knew her you knew how deep her love ran for her children and her grandchildren. They were her pride and joy and could do no wrong in her eyes. She was infamous for arriving somewhere early so she could spend more quality time with them before others arrived. She will be remembered for her deep love of her family, music, dancing, big gatherings, and for her famous chocolate/chocolate chip cookies she was asked to bring to any occasion. Jackie was predeceased by her loving daughter, Wende Poitras Whitten and her sister in law, Heidi Arsenault. She is survived by her loving husband, Arthur Verrill, her children Marc Poitras (Lois) of Portland, Kathy Poitras Usher (David) of Gray, her four beautiful grandchildren, Cameron, Haley, Emma, and Alexis, her siblings, Dolores Fogg (Harvey) of Gorham, Alice Betz (Jim) of San Jose, California, Dorothy Aube (Butch) of Westbrook, David Arsenault of Durham, Corinne Pray (Herb) of Scarborough, her sister in law Betty Crowe (Sparky) and her brother in law Mike Verrill (Faith) Her extended loving family of nieces, nephews, cousins, and her two beloved Uncles.
