January 10, 1929 - September 19, 2026* Hurbain P. Roy, died September 19, 2026 at his residence. Born in Groveton, New Hampshire, on January 10, 1929, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and a cherished friend to many.

 Hurbain dedicated much of his life to his craft as a welder, making history the first welder in the state of Maine. His work at S.D. Warren was not just a job; it was a testament to his unwavering commitment and skill in the manufacturing industry. After a fulfilling career, he retired, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and dedication.

 Outside of his professional life, Hurbain was an avid golfer, enjoying his time at both the River Meadow Golf Club in Westbrook and the Riverside Golf Course in Portland. Sundays were a special day for him as he devoted his time to the Lord by attending Mass and then enjoying lunch at Ken’s Restaurant with his daughter. 

Hurbain was pre-deceased by his wife, Eva E. Roy in 2021, his son Donald J. Roy in 1988, and son-in-law Peter Plummer in 2017. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Susan Plummer, and his grandchildren Tina Nickerson and her husband Kevin, Alan Plummer and his wife Faye, Jessica Bearor and her husband Sean and his great-grandchildren, Urijah, Rilee, Bayleigh, and Jayden. 

Family and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service given by Reverend Steve Reddy at 1:00 PM with followship following 1:30 -2:30 on Sunday, September 27, 2026 at Dolby, Blais & Segee, 35 Church Street, Westbrook, ME.
