Windham, Our dad Howard Ken Waig passed away quietly on June 28th with his children by his side. He was a man of great pride, kindness and compassion. He taught is children the same. He was a member of the Maine Army National Guard. Ken spent numerous years working on fishing boats in Alaska. He He worked for S.D. Warren then Sappi in Westbrook for years as a boiler engineer. He loved gardening and camping. Every summer we would have a big vegetable garden and go camping in the Moosehead Lakes area. One of his favorite pass times was playing his saxophone and accordion in his younger days he would play in pickup jazz bands. It was a treat to hear him play. He was pre deceased by his love of his life, his wife Beverly who passed away in 2014. He is survived by his children: Tammy Haskell and her husband Michael of Windham, Debbie Stephens and husband John of Deming, Washington, Carol Waig and son Zachary Morse of Standish, and Jason Waig and Tuesday Smith of Casco; brothers, Gerald Waig and wife Marge of Florida and Harold Dana Waig of Poland; 9 grand children and 5 great grand children. We will each miss you in our own special ways, but know you are happy and with the one you love. Services are private.
