Hilda E. Peterson, 97, of Union St. Westbrook, passed away Sunday Oct. 13, at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice Center in Scarborough. She was born in Portland, the daughter of Peter and Wilamina Selberg. One of 10 children, Hilda grew up in Nasons Corner, she was a graduate of Deering High School. She was Miss Greater Portland at the age of 18. She was a professional dancer in her early years and danced up and down the east coast. Since her marriage to Donald G. Peterson, Hilda has resided in Westbrook. She was pre deceased by her husband Donald G. Peterson. She is survived by a son Donald II and wife Wendy Peterson of New Mexico, 3 daughters Patricia Bernier and Donna and husband Gerard LeBlanc both of Westbrook and Pamela Whitten of Woolwich, 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren, a sister Alice Sanders of South Portland. Funeral Services will be held Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at the Blais & Hay Funeral Home 35 Church St. Westbrook. Burial will follow in Brooklawn Memorial Park, Portland.
