Helen E. Gerding, 83 , of Westbrook, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Springbrook Nursing Home. She was born in Scarborough, the daughter of Herbert and Emily (Temn) Clarke. Helen enjoyed watching T.V. shows Cops and Golden Girls. She was known for her cheating at cards, but was kind hearted with a good soul. She was one of those amazing women who loved fiercely and just made you feel stronger because she gave her love and support fully and without fail. She was predeceased by her husband Edward, a daughter April Tripp, and ten siblings. She is survived by her sons William of Westbrook and Edward Jr of Biddeford; daughter Florence Hoar of Buxton; sister Marion Clarke of Westbrook;11 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Visiting hours will be from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday at Blais & Hay Funeral Home 35 Church St., Westbrook.
