Windham –            Hazel H. Downer, 95 formerly of Waterboro died Tuesday, June 20th at Ledgewood Manor in Windham.              She was born in Newfield on September 14th, 1921 the daughter of Carroll and Ruth Hill.  She attended Sanford Schools.  She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking for family and it is notable that George Bush Sr. loved her pies.             Her husband Francis Downer died in 1990.  She is predeceased by her son Allan Weeks.  She is survived by children,  Eugene Weeks of Newfield, Frances Hole of Sanford, Charlene Michaud of Waterboro, Elizabeth Pignolet of South Portland, Ruth Letourneau of Bridgton, Charles Waterhouse of Waterboro, and David Waterhouse of Buxton, and her son- in- law Joseph Letourneau.              A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 9th at 10:00 am at the Maine Veteran's Cemetery, Civic Center Drive,  Augusta ME.
