Westbrook- Harry James Weir, 75, passed away at his home in Westbrook on December 5, 2017. The son of Aubrey and Lillian (Barbour) Weir, he was born in Portland in 1942. He graduated from Westbrook High School class of 1960. He attended Central Maine Vocational Technical College and studied printing. He applied to transfer to the Gorham State College, but was drafted into the military. He enlisted into the United States Air Force in December of 1963 and served for four years on the flight line at Nellis Air Force Base, in Las Vegas Nevada. He married Judith Chaplin of Westbrook in 1966 at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Westbrook while he was home on leave. He was discharged on December 11, 1967 as a sergeant. He is survived by his wife Judith of 51 years, his daughter Heather Weir, and her fiancé Richard P. McCallum IV, of Westbrook, his son Jason Weir and his wife Jessica Pesce Weir,grandsons Matthew and Andrew Weir of Westbrook, and his sister Donna Kenney of Standish. Family and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation on Sunday, December 10, 2017 from 5-7 PM at Dolby, Blais & Segee Funeral Chapel, 35 Church St. Westbrook. A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 11, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. A graveside service with military honors will be held on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Woodlawn Cemetery, Stroudwater St. Westbrook.
