Obituary

Harry Chamberlain Parker was born October 28, 1930 to Dana M. and Gladys (Lawler) Parker in Gorham, Maine. He passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 8, 2017 in New Braunfels, Texas. Harry graduated from Gorham High School in 1949. In December of 1949 he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. He served 4 years, leaving as a Staff Sergeant. He moved to Casper, Wyoming in January of 1954 and married Corinne Meserve of Standish, Maine on May 21, 1954. Harry worked for Continental Emsco, an oil-field equipment and supply company, for 32 years, retiring in 1986 as the company's Regional Manager for the Rocky Mountain States. After retirement, Harry and Corinne moved to New Braunfels, Texas. He worked at D&D Farm and Ranch Supply and at Ace Hardware for several years. He enjoyed spending time with family, woodworking, and collecting clocks. A devoted husband, father, and grand-father, Harry was a true man of honor and integrity, who impressed upon his sons and grandsons the importance of doing the right thing. Harry is survived by his four sons: Bruce E. (Bobbi) Parker of Casper, Wyoming, Richard D. (Barbie) Parker of Houston, Texas, Keith J. (Danei) Parker of Misawa, Japan, Kevin J. (Lisa) Parker of Springfield, Virginia, 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and his sister Betty Tucker of Gorham, Maine. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Philip Parker, Clyde Parker, Paul Parker, Clayton Parker, Stanley Parker, Raymond Parker and Delmar Parker, and sisters Helena Jacques and June Clinch. A graveside service will be held for both Harry and Corinne Parker at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 23rd at Hillside Cemetery in Gorham. Following the service, the family will host a reception at the Westbrook American Legion Hall, 17 Dunn Street, Westbrook, Maine. Arrangements are under the care of the Gorham Chapel of Dolby, Blais & Segee.
