CASCO—Harold S. Small, 71, of Casco, died peacefully at Country Village Assisted Living in the early morning hours of October 26, 2016. He was born on July 31, 1945, a son of Ernest and Marie (Bragdon) Small. Harold grew up in the Gray area where he attended local schools. Throughout his younger years, he worked as a machinist at Crosby Laughlin Machine Shop Portland Maine. Harold was an outgoing individual who had a love for dancing. He was an outdoorsman who truly enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping in the Maine woods. Many years ago, Harold's love for the outdoors led him to fulfill his dream of traveling to Alaska where he spent many days doing the things he so loved. He is survived by his children, Julie Small of Casco, and Harold Small of Windham; grandchildren, Tyler Nile, Ryan Gendrolis, and Ashley Saunders; and great grandchildren, Ashton Gendrolis, and Justin Saunders Jr.. A celebration of Harold's life will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2016 from 1 pm to 5 pm at the Eagle's Club, 354 Sabbathday Rd, New Gloucester, ME 04260.
