Portland Hale Marie Moreau, 72, died Wednesday December 12, 2018 at Maine Medical Center. She was born June 25, 1946, in Newport, RI, a daughter of Thadeaus and Marie Crapser. Hale grew up in Windham and was a graduate of Windham High School and Gorham State Teachers College. She enjoyed careers with AT&T, Fairchild Semi-Conductor, and most of all operating her own Daycare. Hale was a skilled seamstress and had a passion for quilting, cooking, and traveling especially to quilting conventions. Her love for her family was the most important part of her life. In addition to her parents Hale was predeceased by her sister, Gayle Micheletti. She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years Larry Moreau; daughters, Michelle Hyland and her husband Charles of Windham, and Melissa Moreau of Portland; sister, Nanone Knight of Westbrook; grandchildren, Ross, Chadd, and Gracie, and sister in-law, Sister Jackie Moreau. A memorial service will be held at 4:00PM Sunday December 16, at the Westbrook Chapel of Dolby, Blais & Segee, 35 Church Street, Westbrook. Following the service family and friends are invited to a reception at St. Anne's Church 299 Main Street, Gorham. Burial will be held in the spring at St. Hyacinth Cemetery, Westbrook.
