GRACIENNE J. PETERS Gracienne J. Peters, 88, of Westbrook, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 2, 2017 at the Barron Center in Portland, Maine, surrounded by loved ones. Gracienne, affectionately known as Grace to some and Memere to many others, was born on August 7, 1928, the daughter of Eugene J. Hebert, Sr. and Jacqueline R. (Gregoire) Hebert. She lived in Westbrook her entire life, spending her time as a homemaker, mother, and grandmother. Gracienne is predeceased by her husband, Roland J. Peters. She is survived by her children, Gregory R. Peters and his wife, Gail, of Westbrook, and Jackie Babineau and her husband, Jerry, of Windham. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, all of whom she loved dearly and cared for as an irreplaceable Memere. With a loving personality and a smile that couldn't be contained, Grace will be sorely missed by so many, but her legacy will live on in those she loved. A Catholic Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at 10:00AM at St. Anthony's in Westbrook. Grace will be laid to rest beside her husband at St. Hyacinth Cemetery in Westbrook in the Spring.
