Westbrook – Gloria A. (Plummer) Burnell 68, of 67 Arlington Ave. Westbrook, passed away Wednesday Dec. 19 2012 at the Barron Center after a long illness. She was born in Portland, the daughter of Elmer L. Plummer Sr. and Mildred L. Axelsen. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Gloria was predeceased by her husband Thomas A. Burnell Sr. She is survived by her son Thomas A. Burnell Jr. and wife Linda of Standish, daughter Laurie A. (Burnell) Neal and husband Scott of Standish, six grandchildren, Megan, Matthew, Andrew, Jessica, Jacob, and Mandy, four great grandchildren, Izak, Jaelyn, Brianna, and Braydon, Brothers and sisters, Carolyne and husband Richard Doyle of No. Yarmouth, Elmer and wife Sandra Plummer of Gorham, Sandra and husband Dave Luttrell of Gorham, William and wife Sally Plummer of South Carolina, Thomas Plummer of Ohio, Steven Plummer of Westbrook, James Plummer of Portland, Diana and husband Tim Roberts of Windham, Mark Axelsen of Windham and Donna and Husband Dave Berry of Westbrook. Visiting hours will be held at Blais and Hay Funeral Home on Friday Dec. 21 from 6-8 pm. A graveside burial will take place on Thursday Dec. 27 at 1 pm at Woodlawn Cemetery in Westbrook.
