Westbrook – Gladys Croker Greene, 96, of Larrabee Village, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday Dec. 12, in a Portland hospital. She was born in Lawrence, MA. the daughter of Arthur U. and Ada Babb Perkins. Gladys worked as a seamstress for most of her life. She loved gardening, both vegetables and flowers, it was said that she had a green thumb. She also enjoyed reading, jigsaw puzzles and taking walks. Gladys was a determined woman, she took drivers education at the age of 82 and got her first driver's license at the age of 85. She was also a member of the 7th Day Adventist Church. Gladys was pre deceased by her first husband of 60 years John D. Croker and her second husband Adelbert Greene. She is survived by a son Arthur R. Croker of Saco, daughter Joanne P. Gagne of Westbrook and step daughter Lois A. Sullivan of Halifax, MA., grandchildren A. Scott Croker of York, PA., Christopher A. Croker of Mesquite, TX., Brian E. Gagne of Cumberland, Stephen E. Gagne of Medfield, MA., and Keith A. Gagne of Westbrook, 12 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Graveside Services will be held in the spring at Woodlawn Cemetery in Westbrook.
