Geraldine Burpee Dodd passed away peacefully on Tuesday June 23rd at home with her family after a long illness. She was born July 1, 1923 the daughter of Harold F. and Ruth (Foster) Bridges in Oakland, ME. She was educated in the Oakland Schools graduating from Williams Laforest High School in 1941.           Geri Worked for the Waterville Morning Sentinel until moving to the Portland area in 1943 to work in the Treasurer's office of the New England Shipbuilding Corporation until their closing. She worked for over 25 years for Holmes, Stickney Inc. and retired from the accounting office at Saunders Brothers in Westbrook.           She married J. Richard Burpee in 1947. He died suddenly in 1974, at the age of 52. They had one son and one Grandson.           Ten years later in 1984 she married Clement O. Dodd of Portland and Florida. They spent their winters at their home in St. Petersburg, Florida and summers in Westbrook, Maine. Mr. Dodd died in 2005.           Mrs. Dodd was predeceased by her parents Ruth and Harold Bridges. Her two Husbands J. Richard Burpee and Clement O. Dodd, step son Clement I. Dodd, she  was also predeceased by a Niece Jan Barton and Nephews Jay Palmer and Bobby Bridges.           She is survived by her son Lawrence and his wife Charlotte Burpee of Florida. A Grandson Robert L. Burpee of Standish. Her brother Harold F. Bridges of Summerfield, Florida. Two sisters Dorothy L. Roderick of Westbrook and Janice M. Laflamme of Waterville. Stepson Raymond E. Dodd of South Portland and several nephews.           Following Geri's request there will be no visitation or service. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery in Westbrook will be private.
