Lewiston- George A. Libby, 59, passed away at CMMC on November 23, 2021 after a brief battle with Covid. He was born in Portland, son of Edith Libby on January 28, 1962, and later adopted by George E. and Beulah Libby, who he called Dad and Ma. He worked at Windham Millworks, Hancock Lumber, Dunkin Donuts, Hannaford, and in the woods with his late brother in law Tom Ingersoll. George is predeceased by his mother Edith, his adopted father George E. Libby, brother Richard, and sister in law Maxine. Survivors include his adopted mother Beulah of South Paris, brother George W. Libby of Troy, NY, a sister Darlene Ingersoll of Casco, several nieces and nephews, special friends; Steve Haigreaves of New Vineyard, Andrew Emery of Raymond, and Jimmy of Oxford. A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 11:00am at Smith Cemetery, Windham. Following the burial, a reception will be held 11:30am until 2:00pm at the Windham Veterans Center.
