Gorham- Gary Eldon Bailey, 60, passed away on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at his home. The son of Linwood Eldon and Leona Marion (Meserve) Bailey, he was born on February 18, 1958 in Westbrook. As a child Gary excelled in playing baseball for George E. Jack school in Buxton and received many trophies for his skills on the ballfield. He was fortunate to have a job that he thoroughly enjoyed working for Scarborough Downs. Previously he worked as an insulator for Artic Insulating. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and spending time at Beech Ridge Speedway. He was a sports fan and enjoyed cheering on his favorite basketball and football teams. Gary was predeceased by his son Paul Patnaude, his brothers Jeffrey and Kevin Bailey, his sister Linda Bailey, and his niece Emily M.G. Bailey. He is survived by his daughter Kimberly Cote and her husband Dennis of Shapleigh, his siblings Philip Bailey and his wife Pauline of Rangeley, Larry Bailey of Jamestown NY, Craig Bailey and his wife Denise of Waterboro, Michael Bailey of Scarborough, Dianne Stuart and her husband Wyatt of Gorham, Debra Clark and her husband Ronald of Waterboro, Georgia Fitzpatrick and her husband Vincent of Pennsylvania, his two grandsons Braedyn, and Jameson, many nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend an hour of visitation on Saturday, May 5, 2018 from 10:00 -11:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM at the Gorham Chapel of Dolby, Blais & Segee, 76 State St. Following the service Gary will be buried with his brothers in Black Point Cemetery in Scarborough.
