Gail Frances (Ezzy) Maxner Born 10/07/1940 – Died 01/11/2021 Born in Presque Isle Maine, Gail was the fifth child of 13 children born to Luella (Sites) Ezzy and Maron Joseph "Joe" Ezzy. She grew up in towns between Presque Isle and East Machias. She graduated from Washington Academy in East Machias ME class of 1958. She also received her CNA from Northern Maine Technical Institute (now NMCC) in Presque Isle in 1979. One of her greatest joys was singing with her family. The Ezzy Family Singers performed on the radio out of Bangor in 1956. She was invited to audition for the Boston Pops Choir, an opportunity that she sadly had to miss out on due to a sudden attack of acute appendicitis the day before the audition. Music would continue to be of paramount importance throughout her life, and she fostered that love of music in her children. She later met and married her [ex]husband in April of 1960. They went on to have 6 children. They divorced in 1973. She never remarried. Although she moved frequently between Maine and Massachusetts, her vivacious spirit, bright smile, and infectious laugh helped her make many friends along the way. She worked many retail jobs, most notably as the Jewelry Purchaser for Emphasis on Maine in Bridgton Maine in the 1980s. Gail is predeceased by: her parents, two sisters – Katherine Luella Ezzy and Monica (Ezzy) Merrill, an infant brother – Maron Ezzy jr., and her oldest son Maron D. Maxner.
