Obituary

Freddonna Jewett Webster, 80, passed away peacefully after a brief illness, on November 25, 2024, at Maine Medical Center, with the love of her life by her side. A loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, also known as Mother, Gram and GiGi. She was born on May 29, 1944, in Portland, the daughter of the late Philip and Gwendolyne Jewett. She attended Windham High School and married her high school sweetheart, Robert on August 26, 1961, and they settled in Windham. They celebrated 63 years of marriage in August. She dedicated her life to raising her family and many other children as all were welcome in her home. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Mary Moody. Surviving in addition to her husband, is her son Phillip, and his wife Lisa; son William, and his wife Stacey; grandchildren Peter, Ryan, Darcey and husband Jake; great grandchildren Blake, Carsyn, and Stella; and very special friends Gary and Sharon Smithson with whom they shared many adventures with, some that can't be talked about. She enjoyed many years of traveling and camping with Bob and eventually becoming snowbirds. She was well known for her cooking and her canned goods, which will be greatly missed. But she especially loved her family, holidays and large family get-togethers, often being the last person to sit at the table. The grandchildren will sorely miss her bedtime stories about a set of squirrel brothers and competitive game nights of Candyland and cribbage. The family is planning a celebration of life later on. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Cumberland County 4-H Sheep Club or a charity of your choice.
