Westbrook, Francesco Ranieri, 94, of Conant St., passed away Thursday March 23 at Springbrook Nursing Home.   He was born in San Felica, Italy, the son of Vincent and Angelina Ranieri. Francesco entered the Italian Police Academy for one year and then served in the Italian Army during World War II. He was captured and became a prisoner of war from 1943 to 1945.   He and his wife Angelina came to the United States in 1968. They lived in Massachusetts and later settled in Westbrook, Maine.   He was predeceased by his wife Angelina in 2007. He is survived by a son Vincenet and his wife Theresa Ranieri of Italy; a daughter Maria Flannery of Westbrook and her fiancé Mark Welch; four grandchildren Francesco and Dominica Ranieri of Italy, and Christina and her husband David Gilman, and Katie and her fiancé Evan Semle; step grandchildren Leigh and Tiandra; two great grandchildren; and a brother Sal Ranieri of Somerville, MA.   Funeral services will be private.
