Francis L. Croteau, 70, of Patio Park, Gorham, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2015, at his home. He was born in Skowhegan, the son of Owen and Edna (Jenkins) Croteau. Francis served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. After serving his country he took a job with Coca Cola, where he worked as a truck driver for 38 years before retiring. He was a member of the V.F.W., the American Legion, and the Rangeley Lakes Rod & Gun Club. Francis cherished the time he spent in Rangeley, where he loved to hunt and fish. He was predeceased by his brothers Robert and Roy Skillings. He is survived by a son Keith Wanning of New Gloucester; a daughter Lisa Manchester of Hollis; his brothers Albert Croteau of New York, Richard Skillings of Monmouth, and Patrick Skillings of Monmouth: his sisters Sandra Kelley of Saco, Sylvia Moore of Sanford, Rosie Norton of Portland, and Barbara Skillings of Portland; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; a special niece and nephew Dawn and Craig Kelley, along with other nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM Friday at Blais & Hay Funeral Home, 35 Church St., Westbrook. On line condolences may be expressed at blaisandhayfuneralhome.com.
