GORHAM-- Florence L Pednault 88,of Gorham Maine passed away peacefully due to natural causes on November 11th 2018 at the Gorham House in Gorham Maine. Florence Lambert was born in St Nicolas Quebec, Canada on September 24th 1930 and grew up in St Nicolas until she emigrated to the US in 1953 with her older sister. She soon got married to George Pednault (deceased) and were married for 65 years. Much of their life was spent in the Portland Maine where they raised their three sons Gerard, Ronald (deceased) and Dennis. They moved to their home in Westbrook Maine for a long retirement before moving to Gorham House in Gorham Maine for their final years. Florence obtained her GED and then a Nurses Aid certificate which allowed her to have associate with the Maine Medical Center nursery, she was long time employee and then volunteered for many years into retirement. She took great joy in caring for all newborns but particularly enjoyed giving special attention to the family and friends newborns. Florence was an avid gardener and every home she lived in had a vegetable garden and various ornamental plantings. Florence was predeceased by her father Phileas Lambert and her mother Yvonne Lambert. She was one of 10 children and is survived by Joseph, Marie Jean, Estelle, Lucille, Gerard, Gllbert, Denise, Francois and Zoel. She is survived by the daughter of her son Ronald and her husband David Haskell and their four children Paeshance, Casandra, Haley and Lucas. The family would like to thank the staff of Gorham House and Beacon Hospice in helping Florence in her final years. A memorial service is being planned for Sunday, January 13, 2019 at 1pm at the Westbrook Chapel of Dolby Blais & Segee, 35 Church St, Westbrook, ME 04092. There will not be a graveside interment. In lieu of flowers feel free to plant a live one in a garden in the spring.
