Portland, ME -- Florence M. Barstow, 73, of Portland passed away Sunday Oct 6, 2024 at the Maine Medical Center following a period of declining health. She was born in Portland on January 2, 1951 the daughter of the late Frederick and Shurly (Hussey) Barstow, and has resided in this area for most of her life Florence will be remembered for being kind, friendly and appreciative and for finding joy in simple pleasures. She is survived by her daughter Shawna Harris and husband Christopher, a grandson Alexander, a brother Carlton Barstow and his wife Pamella, a sister Katherine Sullivan and her husband Joseph, a sister-in-law Jo Ann Barstow, and several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a granddaughter Amy Harris, and a brother Maurice A. Barstow. Visiting hours will be Thursday Oct 10 at 10:00 AM at Dolby, Blais and Segee Funeral home, 35 Church Street, Westbrook. The funeral will follow after visitation at 11:30. Burial will follow in the family plot in Brooklawn Cemetery. Portland.
