Fay Ellen Camire, 83, of Buxton, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2015, peacefully at her home with her sons by her side. She was born in Westbrook, the daughter of Alfred and Beatrice (Doucette) Dame. Fay attended Westbrook schools and lived most of her life in Westbrook, moving to Buxton six years ago. She had a long career at Zayre's and Ames Department Stores before she retired. She enjoyed playing Bingo, cribbage, and bowling. She remained close with classmates, going to lunch with them on a regular basis. Fay cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and was able to care for them on weekends as they were growing up. She was predeceased by her siblings, June Arey, Joyce Gallant, Anna Gilman, and George Tiedwell. She is survived by her sons Bruce Camire and wife Johanne of Old Orchard, and Darryl Camire and wife Karen of Buxton; her brothers James Dame of Fort Fairfield and Leonard Tiedwell of Westbrook; a sister Gene Austin of Cumberland; and four grandchildren, Joshua, Allison, Justin, and Brian Camire. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, August 29, at Woodlawn Cemetery in Westbrook. A luncheon will follow at the American Legion Hall on Conant St.in Westbrook.
