Eugene Laurent LaChance, 83, of Westbrook passed away peacefully on May 11 at the Androscoggin Hospice House in Auburn. Before passing away he spent 5 years at Clover Manor in Auburn. He was born in Westbrook, the son of Adelard (Charlie) and Rose (St Pierre) LaChance. He is predeceased by his wife Elizabeth (Boothby) LaChance of Westbrook and his son Garry LaChance of Limington. He has a daughter Lisa Sloan and husband that reside in Florida. Step-daughter Donna Michaud and husband Tim of Mechanic Falls, Step-daughter Wendy Taggart and husband Chip of Levant, Step-son Stephen Brown and wife Connie of Michigan, Step-son Ike Jones and wife Laura of Limington. A sister Laura Conley of Scarborough and a sister Claire Wentworth and husband Sonny of Florida. 17 Grandchildren, 22 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great grandchild. Eugene worked for SD Warren Paper mill for over 30 years until he retired. He was loved by all his family and friends, always made us laugh with his joking around. He loved music, dancing, playing cards and going to Beano. A Graveside service will be on Thursday May 19th at 1:00 PM at Woodlawn Cemetery, Spring Street in Westbrook.
