Ernestine Loura July 4, 1924 - April 2, 2023 GORHAM - Ernestine "Tina" Louise Loura (Wagner), 98, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House on April 2, 2023. She was born in Gorham to Ernest and Lena Wagner on July 4, 1924 alongside her twin brother, Nelson Eugene. Tina graduated from Gorham High School and then attended the Gorham Normal School. She worked at Anderson & Adams Insurance office, then at Sylvania GTE. She also enjoyed being a Girl Scout leader which she was for many years. On Sept. 7, 1947 Tina married the love of her life, John Loura. They lived in Windham until retiring to Harmony where they enjoyed the peaceful camp life for 20 years until they moved back to Windham to be closer with family. Together they had four "chicks" as she lovingly referred to them as; Christina, Steve, Connie and Keith. Tina was very passionate about crocheting doilies and spread her love by giving out her creations. She was known for passing them out to every person in her life. Tina is predeceased by her husband John Loura, sister Gladys Hall, and brothers Edward, Nelson and John Wagner. She is survived by her children, Christina Smith (husband Dennis), Steve Loura (wife Pam), Connie Burke (husband Dennis), and Keith Loura; six grandchildren: Charles Smith (wife Barbara), Jesse Loura, Kristal Trott (husband Rich), David Burke, Tiffany Lessard (husband Justin) and Sara Loura; and six great-grandchildren: Richard Trott IV, Reece Trott, Charley Trott, Zebulin Burke, Skyler Burke and John Eastman. A graveside service will be held at Sapling Hill Cemetery in Gorham on Saturday May 6th at 10AM.
