Windham Elton Henry Seamans, 84, died Monday July 25, 2016, at his home. He was born August 4, 1931 in Brockton, MA, a son of Elton and Florence Seamans. Elton grew up in Whitman, MA, was a 1949 graduate of Whitman High School, and a 1954 graduate of the Massachusetts Maritime Academy. Elton enjoyed a brief career as a merchant marine and then a 30 year career as a field engineer for General Electric. Elton enjoyed fly fishing, target shooting with Bob, watching the Red Sox, and times with the boys at Sebago Lake. In addition to his parents Elton was predeceased by his brother Arnold Seamans. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Patricia (Hume) Seamans; sons, Eric Seamans and his wife Cindy of Stonington, Conn., Brian Seamans of Windham, Alan Seamans and his wife Linda of Lisbon Falls, and Darryl Seamans of Windham; a sister, Patti Smith of Marshfield, Mass., and grandchildren, Danny and his wife Brianna, Brian, and Jennifer.
